Check incoming watches before accepting a trade
Use MyStolenWatch alongside seller identification, ownership documents and physical inspection. Paid searches check the loss and theft records in our database; they do not certify your inventory.
At intake
Ask for the individual serial number and compare it with the watch and supporting documents. Record the model reference separately. Obtain the seller information your business requires, then run a database search before payment or acceptance into stock.
Keep a dated record
Keep the brand, exact serial searched, search date and result with the intake record. A no-match result describes that search at that time; a report may be added later. Arrange a separate authenticity inspection appropriate to the watch.
Handle a match
Pause acceptance and preserve the seller’s listing and the documents already supplied. Contact support about the matching report. Follow your business’s process for disputed goods; a database record alone does not resolve ownership.
